The Person

  • Proven new business development experience within automotive, parts, or trade distribution.
  • Strong track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing a field-based diary.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The Role

  • Identify, approach, and convert new trade accounts across the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with garages, fleet operators, and independent retailers.
  • Develop and execute a structured territory plan to maximise coverage and revenue.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and account structures within agreed parameters.
  • Work closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Report on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and account performance.
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events as required.
